Eckhart Tolle is the most prolific of modern day teachers bringing the concept of ‘Now’ into everyday language. He has excited the curiosity and passion of millions in exploring this and mapping a route to its experience.
Yet … what is ‘the Now’?
Elusive yet ever-present, it may be easiest to comprehend it through recognizing what it isn’t.
Amongst my global projects, I work with people in Leadership and Life Coaching. As I converse with clients, I extol many of the concepts and tools I’ll share with you in the vastness of this Blog. I speak with them, I am constantly gaining my own new perspectives.
With two clients this week, these new Insights have flowed …
Whenever we are not clear in mind, relaxed and open in heart, and vibrant in body we are not in the Now. We have been triggered. We have been distracted by ‘unprocessed past experience’. (This is a loaded paragraph. I will ‘unpack’ it and expand on all the keys within it in future Posts. Consider Subscribing, so you’re sure to receive these! Click on either of the two options in the top right corner of this page.)
Whenever we are not clear in mind, relaxed and open in heart, and vibrant in body we are not in the Now. We are, in those moments, distracted into our unresolved past.
Whoa … This means, for most people, that they are living ‘out of the Now’ all of the time. Most people are living in a state of being ‘triggered’ – many are even attending to multi layers of triggers simultaneously – much if not all of the time.
Imagine being …
- Clear minded
- Relaxed and open hearted
- And vibrant physically
This is a description of being ‘In The Now’.
How often does this describe your experience? How often are you foggy minded, emotionally tense, or physically fatigued? When you are any one of these, you are not ‘in the Now’.
Why would you want to ‘be in the Now’?
Compare the descriptions above of being in the Now and being in the ‘past’. Which do you prefer? Not just as an idea – as an experience?
Once you choose to route yourself towards and into The Now, it’s simply a matter of understanding how to do this, and committing to it.
I’ll share this illumination in future Posts.
If you’d like to get ahead of me here … if your appetite for ‘Now’ is whetted and you can’t wait! I recommend you read H.O.P.E. = Healing Ourselves and Planet Earth, listen to the Audio Course of the same name (there’s a Free Intro ‘Taster’ as well), and/or read Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now.
NOW is a choice. It is a ‘place’. It is an experience.
It is available to everyone, all the time.
To get to ‘Now’, we simply need to digest our unprocessed past experience. (I’ll teach you how in future Posts.)
In ‘Now’, all of your energy and attention is present and free to move forward.
Imagine this …
Imaging this …
Questions to Ponder: How often are you in the Now? What are the signals to you when you’re not? What are your own mental state, emotional state, and physical state signals when you are not? How can you develop greater self-awareness of when you are in the ‘Now’ and when you’re distracted in the ‘past’?
Who else do you know who is interested in this? Might they benefit, too, in reading this Post?
Want personal mentoring in how to practice and further explore this?
Now is a super place to be!

*Can I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people need to read this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely have the gift.

I was wondering if you ever considered changing the layout of your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images. Maybe you could space it out better?
