Every relationship is sacred.
This is the cornerstone of life.
This is the premise – the foundation we explore which opens to a vastness of discovery – in the H.O.P.E. Book, Retreats, Audio Course, and Project.
All sages remind us of this.
Everything is sacred – and so is our relationship with it. The air we breathe. The ground we walk upon. The bird songs we hear. The people we smile with. The beating of our heart.
When we begin to re-member this – to awaken to this sacred truth – we begin to re-experience a heart expansion so magnificent, it is mind-boggling that we could ever have forgotten this.
What did we forget?
That we are – each and every one of us and every ‘thing’ – a Divine Being of Light.
How, then, do we explain suffering, greed, aggression, bullying, hate, and the infliction of pain?
Simple.
Every moment that we are not experiencing and expressing life – and our self – as sacred, is simply gentle, loving evidence that we have temporarily forgotten ourselves as our true nature. We have, temporarily (for a split second, an elongated hour, perhaps even decades or lifetimes) mis-identified ourselves as antithetical to the Light.
How does this happen?
When we experience trauma of any kind, and we can’t explain it (who can, ever, adequately explain trauma?), a core part of us mis-assumes that we must be wrong, bad, deserving, sinful in order to experience this ‘hell’.
This core mis-understanding is the root of all ‘acting out’ of anything other than Love and Light – your True Nature – and the True Nature of every one and every thing.
Does this tweek your interest, your curiosity? Do you feel a faint rumbling of distant memory, an inner Knowing that there is truth in this?
If you do, consider reading “The Trap of the Victim” in “H.O.P.E. = Healing Ourselves and Planet Earth” – or listen to the Free Audio Intro to this book. It might enlighten something very key and precious in you – the Truth. That you are good, worthy, deserving, and inherently benevolent.
Recognizing that every thing and every one is sacred is re-membering how to respect it.
Sacred = Respect
Question to Ponder: What does respect feel like to you? When you recognize that some thing is sacred, what are you aware of in it? How is appreciating some thing as ‘sacred’ different than your everyday moments in life? Does Respect = Sacred to you?
