Think about it.
When did you?
Most humans live their entire life without questioning this.
Wow.
Buddha questioned this. This was his greatest legacy to humanity. Sadly millions of people who explore Buddha’s teachings assume he meant that suffering is inevitable.
Is it?
Or is it a conditioned response, an unquestioned agreement as part of the decision to have a human, Earthly experience?
What if … you could shift how you relate to your experience, to make suffering an option rather than a ‘requisite’? Would you like to know how?
This is precisely the nature of “The H.O.P.E. Retreats” – and of these “Living IN the ‘Power Of Now’” articles in this “U R Light” Blog. I am here to share with you the challenging – and liberating – questions, riveting concepts, and tools to explore this very reality for yourself.
Sound scary? Like you might be tempted to walk away from the very premise of what you’ve been taught? Sound heretical?
It is … And it’s not.
It is, in that virtually every human cultural institution throughout Time has based itself on the assumption that suffering is necessary. (And thus that you, personally, must do your quota of it.)
And it’s not, in that you were created as a free, limitless being, resplendent and full of joy. It’s simply your belief (and the longstanding historical, collective backlog of ‘unprocessed past’ in human culture that has embedded this belief in you.)
Simply pondering the question, “Is suffering an option? Is it actually necessary? If so, for whom? For what? Why? Is it possible that this premise has been misinformation? Misperception?”
What if … this very premise is inaccurate. And our entire trajectory of human evolution has been misguided – not by ‘God’ – rather by us. By our interpretation of what suffering ‘is’ and what our options are.
What if … you, and I, and others who choose, can actually shift this trajectory. And map a new option. A new choice. A living reality free of suffering?
You can choose to be a spectator, watching those of us who proceed with this active inquiry, this exploration. And/or you can choose to explore it with us, or on your own. Either is absolutely fine. We need observers. And we need participants.
This is one of 6 Principles which form the foundational exploration of The H.O.P.E. Retreats. In these Retreats participants experience deeply transformative discoveries of true ‘human nature’ and how to live your Full Potential at this time on planet Earth.

Questions to Ponder: When did you sign a Contract to suffer? … When did you?
Hhmmmm 🙂

This design is wicked! You certainly know how to keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Excellent job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!

Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to get that “perfect balance” between usability and visual appearance. I must say that you’ve done a superb job with this. In addition, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Safari. Exceptional Blog!

What a wonderful weblog. I invest several hours on the internet reading blogs, about tons of various subjects. I’ve to first of all give kudos to whoever created your web site and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an post. I honestly think there’s a skill to writing articles that only several posses and frankly you’ve it. The combination of informative and quality content is definitely extremely rare with the big quantity of blogs on the internet.
